The hem:
The hem is usually at the bottom of the garment.
The hem is usually the strongest point of a garment.
The hem is folded over so it has more strength.
To reach the hem, one has to bend over.
To reach the hem, one has to be at a low point, lower than the hem and reach up.
If a person is at a low point in their life and reach up, they will find the hem of HIS garment.
The hem will be able to hold them, if they hold on and follow or go with it.
If one bends down in prayer, he is being humble, likened unto the camel at the eye of the needle.
If one is humble and diligently searching and seeking, he WILL find.
A woman lost a coin and searched the whole house for it.
Whole means complete.
She searched the complete house.
She searched till she found.
The coin was valuable to her.
She had lost sight of the coin.
If we have lost sight of GOD we should:
Search till we find HIM.
If we seek earnestly and keep searching, we SHALL find HIM.
HE should be valuable to us.
First we must recognize we have lost sight of HIM.
The Bible says:
Seek and ye shall find.
When you pray,
Pray till you touch GOD.
When you praise,
Praise till you please GOD.
When you seek,
Seek till you find.
When you find it,
You will know it
Your face will show it,
You will aglow it.
There are robes of righteousness,
There are garments of praise.
You cannot go into a store to buy these garments.
Yet they are to be worn, they are available.
First we must find the hem of the garment.
In the Olympics, they carry a torch.
It is handed from runner to runner.
Someone always carries the torch- they don't let the light go out.
While they participate in what is important to them, they light a big torch.
It stays lit the whole time they participate.
It can be seen by all.
They train for hours, and years for the day to go to the Olympics.
This is their big event.
This is what they live for.
This is their desire.
This is their dream.
What, if we as Christians did like they?
What if we spent hours praying?
What if we fasted, and watched what we ate?
They do.
What if we witness?
They do, we all know about them.
They didn't start out exercising hours at a time, their bodies could not withstand it.
They had to work up to it.
They are in competition with each other.
Are they outdoing us?
Are we feeding our spirit man?
Are we strengthening HIM daily?
They are doing all this to their fleshly bodies.
The have a trainer, they keep track of their time and progress.
If we keep a record of our daily walk, talks, and time spent, how would we compare?
How is our progress?
We too have a dream.
Our dream is to go to Heaven.
We too have a desire.
Our desire is to serve GOD.
Our Big Event is to go to :
THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB.
Are we preparing ourselves for this?
Are the athletes outdoing us?
Why is this happening?
Can we find a person to compete with, and see if we can out do them spiritually?
Will people want to watch us?
Will they come to see us?
Watch this:
THE LIGHT- THE TORCH
Millions of people went to, or watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics.
It is exciting to them.
People like the light.
Did they force us to watch it?
We are attracted to the LIGHT.
Do we have to force, or make people see it our way?
The LIGHT will shine in darkness.
If they are living in sin, and we shine a LIGHT, we have lit up a path for them.
Darkness is attracted to the LIGHT.
The LIGHT will shine even in the darkest dark.
The light doesn't even speak.
It just shines.
It just glows.
It is always there.
Think of it like this.
A tree will grow where it is planted.
If it is crooked, we can straighten it.
If it grows unwanted branches, out of the main trunk, we can cut or purge them off.
We keep the main trunk straight.
Straight is the gate,
Narrow is the way.
Later, as the tree grows to maturity, it SHALL produce fruit.
When we see a tree with fruit, it doesn't speak to us, and tell us, Look what I have, come get this.
We see it, recognize it, we want it.
We pick it, we buy it, we sell it, we desire it, we eat it.
This is a real tree, giving off fruit.
In the spirit, JESUS is the tree of life.
We should want to be like HIM.
We should have fruit.
People will see our fruit.
They will desire what we have.
They will want it.
They will eat of it.
Likened unto this:
Faith without works is dead.
Works can be all the good you do.
Works can be all the praying you do.
Works can be your attitude.
Works can be witnessing.
What are some of your works?
What are some of your fruits?
You will not have to beg anyone to do anything.
They shall come.
They shall walk in the LIGHT, if you only shine.
They shall eat of your fruit, if you only produce.
How is your light?
Is it dusty, or dim?
Is it lit?
Is it bright and shiny?
How is your fruit?
People will see your fruit.
They shall see the LIGHT.
Do we keep our torches lit up?
Our torch is JESUS.
Are we shining the way for others to see?
If we shine bright, and in abundance, we could light up the world.
Don't put your LIGHT under a bushel.
Shine from the mountain top.
Work at your LIGHT, and don't let it go out.
Keep it lit all the time.
The world needs this LIGHT.
The world needs it always lit.
Sinners will be affected by the LIGHT.
The more LIGHT we shine, the more they see.
The more LIGHT we shine, the less dark they have.
Eventually they will become accustomed to the LIGHT.
Like a man in prison- a man in solitary confinement.
He has only darkness.
His eyes and sight grow dim.
Taken out of the dark, he has to be adjusted, this takes time.
While working with people remember this:
Let the LIGHT shine,
Let the LIGHT work.
Eventually the man will see the LIGHT.
The LIGHT is JESUS.
Keep the LIGHT high.
Keep the torch high.
HE is the LIGHT of the world.
The world knows of the Olympics.
The world needs to know JESUS.
If we spent time like they do, exercising, and training, GOD could use us and work through us to do marvelous things.
I wonder why we don't do this?
I wonder why we don't fulfill our dream?
I wonder why we don't proclaim our GOD like the world proclaims the Olympics?
I believe GOD is ready to shine HIS glory on the face of the earth.
I believe GOD is looking for willing vessels to use.
I believe GOD is looking for laborers.
The fields are white, and ready for harvest.
There is plenty of work for all to do.
We are being watched.
GOD is watching you.
The world is watching you.
Do you shine?
Do you glow?
Have you grown?
Do you have fruit?
Look up, find the hem of the garment.
Hang on and get your strength,
It comes from within the garment.
It's not the garment, but what is inside the garment.
They cast lots for HIS garment.
Do we wear a garment like this?
It is not us, but rather what is in us.
Are they really watching us?
Where do you stand?
JESUS is steadfast.
JESUS will not fail.
JESUS will never leave you or forsake you.
JESUS will be your best friend.
JESUS desires your company.
See what HE will do.
Give HIM the opportunity.
Give HIM more time.
Give HIM more praise.
Clothe yourself in HIM
Praise HIM
Love HIM
Shine for HIM
Glow for HIM
Produce fruit for HIM
HE will do the rest
You will win souls
Bible says he that winneth souls is wise
First we must outshine the darkness
Then they will be in the LIGHT
In the LIGHT, they will see JESUS
JESUS will speak to them
SHINE JESUS SHINE
GOD is a jealous GOD.
I wonder if GOD is jealous of their light?
I wonder if we try like they try?
If not, I wonder WHY?
What can we do?
Try harder
Pray more
Grow stronger
Shine brighter
Last longer
GOD is eternal
GOD is everlasting
GOD is coming
Are you watching?
Are you ready?
What will HE find you doing?
How will you weigh in the balance of HIS scale?

So fight the fight, finish the race, and keep the faith.
For when they race, one wins the prize.
In this race,
If you endure till the end,
And finish the course,
