Solid Rock Ministries Of Elmhurst is a ministry I have started to impact
Jr./Sr. high/College age adults for Jesus Christ! I have been able to have two contemporary
Christian music concerts, and want to start a coffee house as a permanent site for ministry; right now I have not been able to find Christians
interested in long term commitment to this project; I have been visiting random Christian discussion boards offering answers to questions people
pose on them; I would like to see if God might have a unique way for me to reach people via the internet, which could lead to establishing a coffee house
later, as Paul would say, all that matters is Christ is preached!
I was raised Catholic, thinking I was all I needed to be for God, I was struck with a
horrible thought; what if I got to heaven and found out I wasn't good enough!
I didn't know what to do; then I happened to see a "Coffee House" was opening in my neighborhood, not knowing what a coffee house was exactly, I walked in;
it was called "Common Ground", the music was awesome, the refreshments free, and everyone asked me
a lot about why I believed this, and did I know that, and so on; some how, after two years I got the idea (the Holy Spirit no doubt) that to
make sure, I'd pray a "just in case" prayer based on Rom. 10:9, and I've never been the same! It's been a struggle living for Christ
a lot of the time, but He's brought me to a point of desire for full time
ministry, or simply impacting others one way or another! Praise God!!!!!
I am a lot like Peter, always saying the wrong thing, but being very intense for
Jesus, ready to jump out of the boat, and come to Him, only to find, when I get scared and start sinking! I am a very
extroverted person, knowledgeable about Biblical / Christian issues, good at Jeopardy/ Trivial Pursuit, know
a great deal about things of the world, and how to use a lot of them to make a point about
Spiritual subjects, I love people, am not afraid to talk, can be bold, blunt, and intense! I believe God can use me for His mighty purpose!
